ISO 3452-3 Type 2 reference block
Core purpose
·Type 1 reference test block: used to determine the sensitivity level of the penetrant product series (such as whether it belongs to level 1 or level 2 ultra-high risk), mainly used for product rating.
·Type 2 reference test block: used to verify the routine performance of fluorescent or dye penetrant detection systems, ensuring the normal testing process.

The ISO Panel is made from a 0.100" (2.5 mm) stainless steel plate. Half of the test surface is hard coated with a 0.0024" (60 µm) hard alloy material. Five crack centers are evenly spaced in the hard coated strip. The crack centers are made up of circular patterns forming a star.
Each test panel is labeled with the identity of the supplier and serial number. A declaration stating conformance to EN ISO 3452-3 and in line with EN 10204 type 3.1, will be supplied with each test panel.
